I've been re-reading Harry Potter, and just finished the sixth for the first time. I'd forgotten how engrossing they are, it's been ages since I've sat down for hours at a time to read a book. It kind of makes me sad, how I can't start reading a book and not look up until I'm done anymore.
Dumbledore kind of scared me towards the end, but now he is dead and won't be around to be mysterious and reassuring and comforting and amused and that is very upsetting.
...I don't really like Harry. He was alright until the fourth book, then got really angsty in the fifth, and now he's just kind of annoying. I do like Hermione and Ginny and Luna though, so Harry and Ginny kind of creeps me out. LUPIN AND TONKS ARE AWESOME THOUGH.
I didn't really like the sixth book though? There wasn't much going on except Harry stalking Malfoy and being a bit of a loser and the Half-Blood Prince thing was a bit anticlimatic, unless it's a plot point to be carried over to the next book, and TOO MUCH UNREQUITED LOVE THAT ISN'T VERY INTERESTING. I much prefer the bits where they plot a lot then go off to fight.
This has been my very unenlightening take on Harry Potter, goodbye.
